In addition, we are also developing video contents (disaster prevention video) to raise awareness of disaster prevention of residents, educational tools for children (simulation browsing contents for children version, quiz content for disaster prevention) and others.

Municipalities throughout the country are preparing hazard maps for all natural disasters such as floods, landslides, tsunamis, storm surge, etc. However, contrary to the expectation at the time of creation, in many cases, improvement of disaster prevention consciousness of residents and examination of concrete evacuation countermeasures are not advanced even after hazard map distribution.

In order to solve such problems, IDA has developed a "new" hazard map that is not limited by the traditional hazard map. For example, as information contributing to the judgment ofevacuation, we have developed a map that takes into consideration not only the depth of flooding but also the flow velocity and flooding time of the flooded stream, and from these information and the location and structure of the home, evacuation behaviors We develop and provide a map to diagnose and present pointer (map on escape). In order to foster the awareness of residents against evacuation, it is also effective to promote mutual understanding by dialogue between the administration and residents.

In IDA, in addition to facilitating workshops and informal consultation sessions, we also prepare manuals for administrative workshops to support the consensus building between the administration and residents concerning evacuation.

We are also preparing and reviewing regional disaster prevention plans based on the actual circumstances of local communities and local governments. Specifically, we will grasp disaster prevention issues of local communities and municipalities through disaster assessment assessment and questionnaire survey, etc., as well as a time-series deployment plan that considers all agency response, an action plan from peacetime, disaster prevention education, etc. We will propose initiatives and measures to improve regional disaster prevention capabilities triggered by creation and review.
